A company that is like a family, is a company that will always have your back.

Nearly 50 years ago, a small family named the Bowens had a dream. They grew up in a little town near here called Tuscaloosa- some of you may know it as Tide Nation. Barry and Beth Bowen had a vision of supporting their family and creating an environment that would give people jobs, give back to others, and lead the community. In 1978, Barry and Beth set out to do just that, and SERVPRO in Tuscaloosa, Alabama was launched! In 1996, the Bowen family made the leap to open two Franchises in the Montgomery and Prattville areas. Bruce and Brian Bowen grew up working alongside their parents every summer since they were just ten years old. Every day they watched their parents make a difference in people’s lives. The boys learned from the best on how to respect and care for others, which eventually led to them taking over the company in 2006.

The Bowen Brothers combined their passion, their knowledge, and their hearts to turn their company into what it is today. They focused on speedy response times to emergencies and living up to SERVPRO’s goal of making disasters “Like it never even happened.” Over the years, the Bowens took their business to the next level and purchased franchises in several states, becoming one of the most well-known, highly respected businesses in the South. Under their leadership, we expanded to Atlanta, Georgia (2015), Charleston, South Carolina (2018), and Charlotte, North Carolina (2020).

Soon after we started expanding our branches across the South, SERVPRO realized that we could be doing so much more. We could become a one-stop shop! We have always performed mitigation and remediation, but why stop there? SERVPRO quickly decided to branch out and to add reconstruction as part of the services franchises could offer. Now, when disasters strike, we can do it ALL for our customers instead of having to find someone else to put everything back together!

Now 44 years later, our company is a family-oriented, well-respected, quick response team that the communities have grown to love. Beth, Bruce, and Brian are very much involved in our day-to-day activities and continue to strive to make a difference in the surrounding communities.
