Flood Damage – Lake Martin Home’s Bedroom
Flood damage to this Lake Martin home resulted when persistent storm activity that contained high winds tore a portion of roofing from this home allowing mass quantities of water to enter the dwelling. When we arrived, the water had been standing in the home for nearly 24 hours. After this much time, it is common for the water to seep through the carpeting and padding and soak into the subflooring. We have special hi-tech monitoring devices that can measure water and moisture penetration. They provided information that the subflooring was heavily moisture laden. That called for us to tear out the carpeting and padding to properly dry and restore the water damaged subflooring. Once our monitoring equipment provided the proper readings, new padding and carpeting were installed. The after picture shows why our crews received well-deserved pats on the back for a job well done.
