Fire Damage – Wetumpka Kitchen
Fire damage struck this Wetumpka kitchen when a pressure cooker exploded, and some grease caught on fire. The resulting damage was primarily soot and smoke related. Fortunately, the cabinets or backsplash did not catch fire. The popcorn ceiling and top cabinets along with the backsplash sustained the majority of the staining as the photo shows. Our technicians used special SERVPRO detergents and sponges to wipe away the oily residue from the cabinet doors and the backsplash. The ceiling was lightly wiped down to preserve the popcorn effect. We primed the ceiling and came back the next day and painted it a darker color to match the walls.
