Water Damage – Prattville Home

Water damage occurred at this Prattville home when a water supply line carrying potable water in the subfloor of the second story of the home. The pipe developed a leak, and it ran down the header of the double doors and damaged the trim work and some drywall. When our crews encounter damage such as this, they would remove the damaged ceiling materials and trim work and dispose of them properly. Then they would repair the damaged pipe. The next step would be to dry the ceiling and other wet surfaces with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers. They would then treat all of the affected areas with an antimicrobial substance to inhibit any potential mold growth. When dry new drywall would be installed and the trim work replaced.
