Mold Damage – Elmore Bathroom

Mold Damage got a firm foothold on this Elmore Home when the occupants were away on vacation. Mold infestation had engulfed the entire area behind the walls and tile. The homeowners were very unnerved when they returned home to the musty odor associated with mold. Their first call was to SERVPRO. We dispatched a crew to assess the damage and develop a plan for remediation. The owners and insurance company quickly approved the plan, and we began the project by sealing off the affected area to prevent mold spores from dispersing throughout the home while we removed the mold damage. The photo shows that we needed to tear out the tile and walls. They were beyond repair, and we needed them out of the way to clean, sanitize and dry the mold damaged structural elements. After sufficient drying of the building materials, we were able to rebuild the bathroom as shown in the after photo.
