Eclectic Fire and Smoke Damage
The fire in the attic actually started from a shorted wire in a ceiling fan. The fire damaged the shingles on the roof and burnt some rafters and blew out some windows. Our SERVPRO of Prattville team cleared of the damaged attic area and tarped the roof to keep out any possible rainwater. We then collected charred interior debris for disposal. The wiping down of smoke and soot was time-consuming as we tried to save as many belongings as possible. We deodorized the house using ozone machines for initial removal of particulates in the air and cracks and crevices and then did a strong thermal fogging since the house was now vacant. We boarded up several windows to maintain the security of the premises. Rely on us to help in your time of need by calling (334) 358-1186.
